Temptation
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

When temptation knocks at my front door,
I take a breath and count to four.
I then discern what’s right or wrong,
And choose High Road to walk along.

The Universe has eyes that see,
Whether I am good, or bad I be.
So I just do my very best,
Knowing He’ll take care of rest!

Amen!
You only have to count to four,
I must count to twenty-four

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Interloper ~

Hmmm! Twenty-four, you say?!? lol Oh, Doctor of Love, and what praytell happens when you reach that number?!?

I think if we are predominantly good, a little bit of bad won't remove our names from the Good Book! lol

Roneice ~

104, you say?!? I suppose on occasion, I have had to count that high as well! lol

Good to hear from you!

Be good! But a little bit o' bad just makes us human!

Giving you a big, warm, welcome-back hug,

I think God allows us to just BE  human as you say.
There are many kinds of temptations, aren't there? I just surrendered without any counting to my intense desire of eating a piece of chocolate.
Innocent temptation?
Well, we do have that little inner voice whispering to us when we should not cede ...

Your wise reminder made me examine my behaviour, dear Linda, isn't that a great deed!?! You pour out a few words and they cause me to do some sort of "internal auditing"! Your voice is always powerful, dear Linda Angel.

Love and hugs.

You've got the right idea there! Thanks for the reminder. Great work as usual, Linda.

Earth Angel
It's not the count but the amount that worries me. LOL
