The Path

There is a start I would to find
An art that touches heart and mind
A rainbows priming in the sky
O’er the abyss of damning why

There is an easement I would see
Within this fragile revelry
A touch upon the stone of faith
A moment for this passing wraith

The sound of notes a fife of play
A beat of drum to show the way
A drop of flowers nectars core
Only this and nothing more

Perhaps to touch my lips the grail
A moment out this Jonahs Whale
A second’s sand to clog the spout
A moment’s time to roar I’m out

Forgive this efflux, cry of rote
It is the reflux, of my throat

Only this and nothing more”

Steve,
I'll take care but fun is something else.

KA,
We never know why things happen, but I thank you for the feed back.

Lady
Oh I've fallen through many a crack. But I love you for this reply and send you two
back.

The rainbow will be there for you, and the grail to wet to wet your lips. For nobody deserves it more than the poet who has spent
so much time touching our minds, hearts and souls.
Sir Seymour, words alone will never express the joy you have brought to my home.

Some of these line couplets are virtually entire ‘poems’ in and of themselves!
[I shall spend a very long time on each of them!…] some prime examples:

A rainbows priming in the sky
O’er the abyss of damning why

There is an easement I would see
Within this fragile revelry

A drop of flowers nectars core
Only this and nothing more

When of the most apolaustic bent, I shall most assuredly seek out many more
works by this fine, erudite wordsmith!...
much applause!

Seymour, as always, I LOVE your rhyme. It is always
so perfectly done and I feel it an honor to
read your work. I hope you never fall
through the cracks, Sir Poet. I've been doing
that a lot on here, but that's because I'm kind
of scarce lately, probably?
With love and hugs,
Ethel

I sure must be slacking if I missed one from Sy...or I'm going blind because I did look!

Glad this came up right in front of my face so I didn't miss it!
