eight legs in a wine glass
left in a whine moment
by the bedside

prophetic

hope you enjoyed the taste
of last night's merlot
now
out the back door
you go

for I am not one
known to harm
living things

but if you attempt
to come back inside
this humble abode

well,
your legs will play the tune
je suis stupide
and mine,
might be
mea culpa
as I put an end
to venom's reach
