5689 Honesty Love 09 September 2006 I honestly love you because there is no other way Being words you do not want to say I honestly care, because of you I know what love is but only in two Of thoughts addressed, a heart of flavour strawberry and orange chocolate chip That quiver to your top and lower lip I honestly love you in this verse I write To reach out and hold you near and know God took away the fright The fear a couple can have the way distance steals sunlight If only it was true, these lies to hide The ones that are engraved in thought This thought of loving you, and being at your side “I have searched a life time, I have dreamed your dream I only wish there was more I could do in wanting you near, and dreams to come true” “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” Luke 8: 15 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
