don't think for a moment that you know me by one reading by one photo no, not even with a hundred will you see ~ME and perhaps the reason you will not see me will be that your lens focal length is set too short to see beyond your immediate space and your misreads of me might be from a similar shortsightedness don't think for a moment that you know me yet when all you have seen or read is instant snapshots bits and pieces of fragmented rhymes |

This strikes a chord. I have written a similar poem about not assuming that my words allow you to know me. I share what I wish you to know. I like this a lot, my fellow midnight sun lover. The aurora is dancing tonight and I thought of you. A |

It's so true! You know, you can even live with a person for years on end and still not really know them. But what I do know of you Kacy, truly makes me smile |

a perfect description of the reality of this medium... fits me to a "T" I've been reading when I have the time even if not responding. M |

"and perhaps the reason you will not see me will be that your lens focal length is set too short to see beyond your immediate space" yes Kacy and even in real life we seldom take time to really see others I love this poem |

a thoughtful..thought-provoking ‘write’!.... I’ve lived with Mr.‘ME’ for half a cent-RE.. Yet...I still but barely know his name!.... Does anyone truly ‘know’ anyone or in some very ‘last analysis...even much of anything?!.... what was it again, that Thoreau said (somethin’ like): Men think they ‘know’ many things But lo they have taken wings All our arts and the ‘sciences’ And myriad ‘appliances’.... The wind that blows... Is more than any man Truly ‘knows’!...... What’s that other one?!.... To the effect that We hear..but do we genuinely ‘listen’... And look...but can we truly see?!..... |

I love these thoughtful replies! It's true, we can 'live'in the 'Pond' a lifetime, and not see much beyond the surface reflection. Guess we weren't born with mental scuba gear and sonar to go all the way. Thoreau was truly gifted. |

What if I read between the lines? Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |
