O, painted Beauty! What art binds the eye To thine immortal form! The silken gown But half conceals what mind may half imply. Thou art in constant youth, and wear the crown Of beauty undetained - and yet, thou art But mirage on the canvass of cruel time: So still of hand; no tear, no sigh of heart - The form that made thee, long returned to grime. But Time forever ploughs the field and grows Anew what to dust he turned - thus thy frame But a beauty’s feign - for true beauty flows Eternal with each breath and living flame: For there in each new form thus cast again A Woman's Beauty will immortal reign. *smiling* Applause for the beauty in this, and quiet admiration of your talent. This is by far, beyond lovely. |
