Raindrops Suspended on a String

Raindrops
suspended on a string
tied back for a moment
while birds gather wing to wind;
not delayed in air

thunderous waves the senses hear
bringing feathered bones to bare.
Sparing the chill of bones, they won’t;
Fortitude has spoken.
If purging through the spearing drops,
living spirit will not be broken.

Why then, before the leaking of the clouds,
does the heart unmended
fare the weather, spare the wing
to exist in a season unintended?
For a moment, drops suspended.

Read this one earlier tonight. Miss C, you are amazing...and this is a demonstration of that. Always, you are so creative! Also, loved Margherita's photo...it accompanied the poem perfectly. *hugs*...jo

You have a way of writing that is all your own and highly identifiable ~ and appreciated!!!
