Within God’s providence, an angel’s protecting touch can reach heavenward down and prayers are often answered yes; but my son, your numbered days have come to an end and mine now linger past liking and I must accept that some prayers are answered no. One would think that in knowing all this it would be enough to accept that the time of your leaving this earth was out of human grasp, an instant reserved ahead of this time and this place. This need for understanding could then be laid to rest and one could sit back and simply wait for these spinning questions to find an answerable resting place. Yet my mind paces as if marching Jericho around. Way past seven times in seven days my steadfast footsteps, faith and silence have not knocked these walls flat. Did I miss-time my yelling with the trumpets blast? Or am I, Lord, like the disobedient children on the way to the promised land, caused to circle forty years for my wrongs? If so, I have thirty seven left to go. Following this new circle of reasoning I then need to ask, would the emptiness left in your stead be easier to accept if this trial’s finish were, no matter how distant at least somewhere certain? But deep inside these swirls of obscurity, no answers offer themselves as a worthy handhold to grab on to and so I hope, I hope and have faith that in the Promised Land enfolded in my Redeemer’s arms none of this will matter. |

and I must accept that some prayers are answered no. ~*~ Whether we know the reasons, or not, faith reminds us we are loved. |

thank you...it is hard...as humans...not to question...when the loss is great...but faith remains and for that I am thankful |

Sweetie~ I know the 'questioning' ... only too, too well~ 'I hope and have faith that in the Promised Land enfolded in my Redeemer’s arms none of this will matter.' Me too ... me too~ Your inked thoughts seep the page in loving remember moments .... and they find a soft place to fall~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

and I must accept that some prayers are answered no. I think sometimes that's the hardest thing possible to accept... for even as we believe, even as we pray... we also believe we know best and God should cooperate... our pleas are often orders more than requests... and we want to know WHY but only silence greets our ears. Which brings us to faith... which shines brightly through your words. *S* |
