The Mercy Position Night flows through my hands It’s ink, stains the air with conclusive proof of darkness Pooled in my lap, seductions entangle their sleek words These circles, my mind wanders relentlessly the same But for under the door, barely a thread of tranquility Set my logical mind aside for the moment, as the moon For clearly, it is my heart that winds the hairs of discontent Super cells, in winds that lift and scatter an amazing charge Three bells, each louder, press harder to be heard Thick, before my eyes, of oil or coal, dyes opaque the room I lay here, in the weight of without you, so heavy for an echo Pulling warm in faith, the shiver over curve exposed Silently I wonder, if the glimmer of light just visible there Is really the polished diamond that you hold in your heart Or did I dream in gemstone Copyright Kkh 10/31/06 |
