I have had insecurities from your eyes embrace, And the fact that I don’t know what you think of me; As a friend or as a lover? Oh! I would so gladly wash away your pains with my affection. And in the beauty of the night; a crescent moon, a lovers croon, All given ‘hind a window. There could be so much, no more, than us as lovers and as friends. When two people, never labeled, nor tied, to spark the fire. No better combination. You have upon your soft skin laden, a silken, shining drapery. Soon, 'twas taken from your soft-skin breast, as were the clouds, From the sunshine of the day. Yes, a glint of both our spark and of your gleaming skin, Blessed as the western sun, from whence it came, now goes away. Never seen and never beautiful again. I am the two-toed wanderer |
