(For Beth, slightly belated [since this would've meant more yesterday]) Birthday Girl She's a bird of a girl she's the birthday girl and I'm an early morning worm in her claws I shake and I squirm with a bow wrapped around me my heartbeat racing as she smiles happily at first sight of me the October dew clings to her eyelashes she always turns my insides into a pile of ashes hope this lasts us the rest of the fall hope she hears my clarion call I do love her above all I live to fill her with pure joy 'cause I'm such an awkward lover boy her heart's like candy wrapped in fire she drives me crazy but she takes me higher into the clouds I soar with the birthday girl into a new man I'm showing off to the world and when her smile begins to curl I'm a rocket blasting across existance nothing's been quite the same ever since she kicked her way into my heart with eyes full of promises, a place to start there's a gaping hole there when we're apart She's a bird of a girl she's the birthday girl a beautiful gift to the soul a mysterious way of making it all feel whole She's a hell of a girl I've 10,000,000 words to tell this girl but I'm too shy and jangled up to ever let it all out so I should just shut up and wish her Happy Birthday and a warm love to call her own she drives me crazy but what can I say I need that feeling in my bones else I'm just pudding else I'm just kidding myself She's a bird of a girl she's the birthday girl hope she hears my clarion call I do love her above all Hate, Greed & Ignorance: Weapons of Mass Destruction |

Love is the Very Best Gift you can give for this special Girl, For but after her Special Day--May it be well received, and your sentiments embraced. David Every Day's a Blessing |
