One life, precious and honored, to be traded at the rate of a thousand to one; the numbers of lives valued is disproportionate, yet I still want to believe all are of equal value on some scale of justice, though I know this is not the reality in prisoner exchanges, not to mention when assistance is offered in times of need, disasters manmade or from the hands of whatever god or gods you may choose to put power and faith with to me, my heart and soul always wants to believe life is a one-to-one value, for even those whose lives are 'meaning-less' to you or me, it is the only life they have to give, and too many have it stolen from them, while some give it up willingly, and none of it makes much sense, no rhyme or reason I can see but each day I walk the face of Mother Earth I recognize that inequality prevails, and equality may well be just a figment of my poetic imagination. |

I like the way you think and express yourself. I always leave with something special when I read one of your posts be it on Nature, philosophy, love, war, conservation, human rights etc. etc.... Peace, Love, Light & Harmony, Linda |

Yes, Kacy, it is hard to make sense of so many things in the world today but the fact that one can "recognize the inequalities" is a step in the right direction. How many people just cannot see or refuse to see? Too many I'm thinking. |

but each day I walk the face of Mother Earth I recognize that inequality prevails, and equality may well be just a figment of my poetic imagination. darn woman, you nailed this so perfectly (but then, you ALWAYS do) Let us just hope, that it will never just be a figment, of your beautiful (not to mention talented) poetic mind. This'n got me.... |

humble thank yous For those who read this and do not know what inspired it, this is about Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit and the deal to exchange/release him for approximately 1000 Palestinian and other assorted prisoners. I hope they are all home safe before the end of this week. The fighting has gone on far too long, and each soul has a 'life' to pursue beyond those prison walls. |
