Emotional Unblock With timid strokes Pen in hand The words are drawn On paper in ink. The image left There to stand Verbal portrait Of what my heart thinks. Tiny fissure Where words jump Are not the fault Of nib come to fail. But rather points Of past pain Come back to haunt Upon parchment pale. There they are stayed For all etern For no power Have I to toss away. ‘Tis easier To quiet pen Than memory For another day. |

Dark, I'm not quite sure if it is a good thing or not. Time will tell, don't you think? Thank you for reading. sandra |

Hi, Sandra. "But rather points Of past pain Come back to haunt Upon parchment pale" That sounds like a sentiment that I would embrace in my own writings--a vivid image and a short, sharp-pointed memory. That is grief and pain well written. And if this poem is about you, I hope that the pain will ease with time... This is the best image of writing a poem I've read. I hope these sad days have passed you.
