I walk along as the autumn wind blows through my hair The brown and orange leaves fall around and all I can do is stare I step crisply down an old beaten path Soon it will be met again by winters cruel wrath For now though I’ll enjoy it a moment back home I’ll keep autumn’s chill with me so I wont feel so alone |

Lovely poem Kira. Yes the changing season does tend to make one feel a little melancholy. Best thing to do I guess is to get out there and enjoy the colors. Hugs~Nancy Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile~ |

Yes there is something about autumn that just makes me feel lonely... (It is and it isn't my favorite time of year) Thank you both for the comments! (I'll be sure to go outside and enjoy all the pretty colors Enchantress!) |

Hi, Kira. That is a lovely poem, with many vivid images. It is somewhat reminiscent of Robert Frost in subject and metaphors. Very well done. John Pinky: Gee, Brain, what are we going to do tonight? |
