Man In Waiting I remember waiting for my wife at Knotts Berry Farm on a warm afternoon. I remember holding a dozen red roses in front of the Chicken Dinner Restaurant hoping and praying that she'd show up soon. The hours I waited passed so slow, and the roses seemed to know she would never show. Perhaps I lost the last of my hope upon that day. As I left feeling scorned, I gave the roses away. JamesLee 13October 2006 I was trying to make up with my now ex-wife. |

I know how this feels James you've captured it very well. I should also like to apologise for that self-righteous lecture I gave you on your other poem! I do not know what I was thinking... I had perhaps had one too many drinks. Enjoyed this a lot. "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun |

It always seems a tragedy when hope is lost. Yet, I've read enough of your poetry to know that some persists. May better days follow. Your poem touched me deeply, James. miscellanea |
