Searching Through The Clouds How do I condense, into palpable bites, such feeling? Trying to reshape my words to fit your ears What bursts within my heart to say what silence hears The part of me as tree stands strong, bending timeless hours Quaking with the joyful breeze roots deep the shyest flowers When you are the wind, brushing my heart with yours I face the wrong way, to capture enough air to breath Always feeding you with visions that you can’t believe While I hunger to know the sound of your exhaled songs Not because I don’t have wings, or arms that reach the sky But because a stronger bond has woven closely you and I Blown warm and cold, the future can’t be held at bay We have never talked through so much more to say Caress of mind, slides over time to touch your hand To carry me from timid shores, and somehow understand The part of me as rain, cries Copyright Kkh 10/10/06 |

Sounds of exhaled songs... I love that idea in your imagery. Great, great poem. |
