The fountain of youth bubbles up, up, up, from the wellspring of everyday thoughts and onward and over the rim of today flows the drip and drop of memory. It’s water, just water, and yet I believe I can wade like an innocent child and awake love’s needs and desires with a bend and a kneel into the feel of youthful expectancy. And I remember, remember, but know the swirl of relief in the waters of youth beyond the stretch and reach of the soon to die embers of life. Sizzle, snap, pop, and it’s passion that knocks at doors misaligned with the times and who can say nay to the wanting again banging, banging, repeatedly? But the water of past dries up, up, up, in the heat of the summer sun and the fountain of youth immovable until there is love, a different love, standing proud on the rim of today!
