Making my Bed |

Missing those days and the way we never were wading among the rise and fall of some summers' sea. I was she, selling sea shells and so many sand dollars for the taking never-mind the castles washed away. Each storm like a silver torch that touched down striking the chimes of some sun day mass constructing a new day that would tumble in my mind like a wild fire put to shame. But the sky held up relentlessly like a black and blue shiner bruising my mood. I was there and it hurt to burn so far down letting go in order to heal. And I still don't know if I will be here a year from now or if you will ever have any inclination of my heartache and what it took to turn away and let go. I have walked past that window a thousand times breathing you in catching a glimpse of the view of lights shining so faraway. Oh, how I miss loving you, and making my bed the way I used to. |

I can always count on reading a "woman's heart" when you post, and this was no exception, and exceptional! I recall the feeling myself but it didn't last all that long and I moved on. Waste not a second ~ Carpe' Diem |

This is such a beautiful write. BUT... SO SAD! "But the sky held up relentlessly like a black and blue shiner bruising my mood. I was there and it hurt to burn so far down letting go in order to heal." Especially this verse. Love this write! JL |

sigh, is that why I don't like to make my bed? for that act might cover up all those memories? |

And I very nearly missed this wonderful write - so pleased I didn't so back up to the top with it. Good to see you here again with a sad but so beautiful write! Just leave the bed unmade every now and again - it's like telling the world to go to ... wherever! |

And I still don't know if I will be here a year from now or if you will ever have any inclination of my heartache and what it took to turn away and let go. Oh my goodness...I feel as if you tuned into me and expressed with uncanny exactness my recent experience of letting go. And the tears of letting go finally came... Exceptional writing! Patricia |

Dear Lori, this is a wonderful write, the melancholy is so deeply felt ... the gesture of making a bed is so different when it's a lonely place, yes. Love and hugs, beautiful heart. Margherita |

Bluesy, that is a most beautiful picture of a lady who writes such wonderful words. I hope your days are clear, your nights are calm and your heart ever healing... |

Ah Miss Lori, I spotted a reply on the poem of another and was delighted to sea you again. I think of you often and long for just a word to know how you are. I pray all is well and that you know you are not forgotten. The bonus is this lovely poem of ache and times gone by. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |
