HONEYMOON CRUISE The gulls have gone long ago As we sail a peaceful sea. The skies are blue, soft and kind; Where else would we wish to be. Late at night, as we embrace In front of a reggae band. You kiss me, and then you whisper, "I want to be alone with my man." A little after midnight We both slip away. In such of some time For the games lovers play. Alone in our cabin, Your skin is so soft. I’m just that angel Who fell from aloft. After twenty-five years Of our love has gone; It's a honeymoon cruise We find ourselves on. May the Lord show mercy On any of those, Who have never been loved Or ever been chose. By Tom Zart Author of LOVE WAR AND MORE |
