Warm the sun and humid, cool the breeze through the trees. Glimmering the pools and pelucid, humming the sound of bees. Shadows stretching straight and long, ferns of delicate green. Echo of the red-breast song, silver the birch bark sheen. Stately the oaks so mighty, exquisite the rose that is rambling. Dizzying the brimstone flighty, joyful the swallows tumbling. Sweet the swifts of summer screaming, silence falling back through woodland glades. Piercing the sunlight, through canopies streaming, to the dream-night the day now fades. ''As the deer pants for steams of water, so my soul pants for you O God'' Psalm 42:1 |

"Sweet the swifts of summer screaming, silence falling back through woodland glades." The imagery in this is exquisite...where is this place? It's remarkable how beauty can be found most any place, or maybe it's in the eyes of the poet. Enjoyed! |

oh, and as I listen to the scrub jays play, I wish I could go on a midnight nature hike instead of going to work ~sigh~ 'pellucid poetry'...for I can SEE this place hear the birds, smell the floral bouquet ~so peaceful~ |

Such wordpaint! I am mesmerized with the sounds, color and movement in this one. Your words come alive with the melodrama of summer days into dream-nights waning! |
