Though the mind swirls and the quill stands still as a desert leaf, the words climb slowly to the peak. A place seldom touched by man’s visions. A place fearless to the sun’s rays which yearn to melt the snows that rest placidly upon the hidden stone. A place born of countless fires flickering on walls that quietly whisper a hungered word, softly sketch upon the ashes...for from them a Phoenix might rise. Leave to me the sworn covenant that I might bask in the glories of mine eyes as lips trace the thoughts upon pages pristine and pure. For from them I shalt bring to thee the wandering sigh of a desert moon, cast upon the heavens where eternity sleeps and infinity waits for me. |

So very beautiful, excellent imagery and I agree with Nancy - you MUST get your poems published - I'd definately buy a book! Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

A place born of countless fires flickering on walls that quietly whisper a hungered word, softly sketch upon the ashes... This is excellent... you capture the sense of timelessness. *S* |
