Darkness fans blowing Screens light illuminates my hands The room smells of cigarettes and cologne Great disappointment fills my hands I type and wish for sleep A wish, the hope for what’s worth hoping for The hope, a longing for good fates ahead A longing, the absence of what good in life I don’t yet have The absence, a lack of distractions from the harshness of living Distractions I wish for The hands of a love or lover who breathes on my neck Who grabs the cock without inhibition Who needs nothing but my skin and absence of good opinion Or the bar to bar hop with friends on the main street Where we will vomit on the side of the road and fall over laughing and crying Howling to the sky with or without a full moon Even to be playing a song with strangers in a coffee shop Totally improvised I will sing and play harmonica With people I don’t know and never meet again I wish for the sun to not shine when I wake So I can get a good days sleep for a change I wish time would stop changing So I can catch up a little I wish men would act like men and be wise So I wont have to become wise and feel I have to clean up their messes I wish I could live through everyone’s eyes So I wont have a great feeling of awkwardness anymore I wish pleasure would find its way to my lap Because it causes me anguish to obtain and sustain it My wish is to find real happiness In the cottage by the brook In the love that’s silent between four eyes In making a living without working hard or working at all In a simple sunshine that carries the hymns of seraphim to my ear at dawn In walking and seeing the beautiful painting of life without a brush but a bang I was banged into existence why not existence banged into being You can use that line with your friends I wont mind What wish is left on the doorstep of the mind of the wise That knowledge is power But power corrupts I wish to be wise so I’ve chosen understanding Knowledge looks to see Wisdom observes I am the two-toed wanderer |

This was a very deep poem that, I assume, is one's outlook on life? Either way this was a good poem that I can relate to fairly well. You know, this might be silly to say, but that would be a good song too now that I think about it. |
