5277 Retrospect in Soul 09 April 2006 Was a man weak to love, high heels Was he insane to adore a woman like that She thinking she was sexy his head in a circle to turn Captured and pulled close to view patent in leather or strappy and new For why did high heels exist this way of uncomfortable reign Or was it that God created woman and men were those driven insane This topic of footwear in retrospect even in a picture to view An honest man, his soul kind those high heels attracting her to him “Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels.” - Faith Whittlesey Ginger Rogers (Born Virginia Katherine McMath on 16 July 1911 in Independence, Missouri, USA. On 25 April 1995, aged 83, Ginger Rogers died as a result of congestive heart failure. She was buried in Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, California, USA.) and Fred Astaire (Born 10 May 1899 Omaha, Nebraska, USA Fred Astaire died 22 June 1987, Los Angeles, California, USA. of pneumonia) are quite possibly the most famous dancing duo ever paired, and known for their fame in acting in movies (musicals). Of the ten musicals they featured in, none were ever nominated for any Oscars (US film Academy Awards) Winning an Academy Award is the most prestigious honour that those in the film industry can achieve throughout their careers. Recognition by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences denotes true talent and success. Ginger Rogers won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1940 for her role in “Kitty Foyle” and was the highest paid actress during the 1940s. © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
