Much enjoyed. Although I see you travel, the vegetation and the surrounds suggest to me that this is in America, especially as most Pipsters are from America. Please will you tell me what kind of buck (or the American version for "buck") it is, and if possible a little background on it and where this was taken. Don't worry too much about the background on the animal as I can look it up on the Internet if I just have its name. Sorry to be a nuisance. - Owl |

OwlSA, Thanks for taking the time to view and post a reply. I do live in America and wow...seeing you are from Africa was of interest. I hope someday to visit. This was taken in the actual woods. I do not know what kind of deer it is. It was a surprise to both me and the deer. I like to hunt, only with my camera. My camera is my gun, thats all the shooting I do. This photo was taken in Ohio. Thanks for stopping by. picturegramic :) |

Thanks for the reply - and for the email. I will try to look up on the Internet to see what deer are found in Ohio. I am not sure how many species of deer you have. I wasn't sure whether it was a deer or not. I believe that the distinction between deer and our buck (in South Africa) is that deer horns break off (or get broken in fights between deer) and regrow seasonally and buck horns are there for life. I am so verrrrrrrry glad that you only shoot with a camera! - Owl |
