We Are Gemini

So shall you collect my eyes
in stare of breathless enfold
born of dreams from another realm
when God first wept us in blend;
Where we were the quintessence of colour
empyreans across a promised sky
when we were beautiful combined.

You were the water in the still deep
of my fragrance within the woods.
You were the tide flowing silk on sand
in the sultry night that swam for miles
shimmering the stars a destine drench.
We wandered the beach barefoot, exotic,
monarch messiahs held to sacred rite
as you hung the universe in my voice.
We were heaven incarnate, love, pure,
and the moon laughed as it lingered late
for it too, wanted to witness the waves of us.
You were the very essence of wind
and I flew your wings then
into the soft of time, into the now.

Rewind; begin again
thoughts meld as we become touch
two feathers, air to earth
fate’s choreograph
diving ocean's wake.
We drink skin velveteen
and live a thousand lives
rising down into the up
of falling with intensity.

For, we are Gemini
souls of twin flames
the yin and yang of life
ever burning tomorrow's embers.
