I have no voice but for these silent words That fall from thought to the empty page As softly as the snow falls to the ground Or as thunderously as the rain from the storm Touching gently the heart and soul Ripping fiercely and raising ire Pulling tears from deep within Emotions, feelings brought to life I speak to no one but I speak to all Those who will listen will find Something - something to cling to Some hope in a dreary world Kindness in a time of sadness Light for their darkness A kindred spirit that holds them close A loving parent that lets them go I peek into your lives and you peek into mine And together we find our common ground For I am the translator of your dreams Guardian of your secrets I am - the poet. |

How well said! To know a poet one must read their works. Often we see reflections of ourselves in their lines that were previously unknown to us. This is a keeper. Rae |

Such a cherished name, to be called a poet. Something we all value because we do all learn shippets of who the other is... Nicely written, thank you. |

EVOMX~ 'I speak to no one but I speak to all Those who will listen will find Something - something to cling to Some hope in a dreary world Kindness in a time of sadness Light for their darkness A kindred spirit that holds them close A loving parent that lets them go' You have touched a place inside me where words are kept~ 'something to cling to' Thank you~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

I'm a poet And my big feet show it ~ 'Cause they're Longfellers! Actually I am a fan of Longfellow's poetry. I have written several poems on being a poet. I really appreciate the one that you just penned, Dear Poet. Love & Poet Light, EA |
