Serotonin dreamscapes She languishes through endless Friday evenings The space between the wan light of dusk and the 3 am sky Elongating, stretching into nostalgia Rain recalls the smell of his sheets Drags its thin fingers across the small of her back Was it always like this? The red tinged periphery of vision The seduction of paper-thin steel It’s 4:15 again The film of gin and soggy cigarettes Portend that yellow, jeering dawn will soon stir from her fitful slumber |
