Even as BIGSTEV1 manhandled his Escalade onto the hi-way in front of me I wondered if he’d been upset when he discovered BIGSTEVE had already been claimed by another to declare his own monumental state of “Steveness” Or peeved at the State’s limit of 8 characters including letters, numbers and spaces Had precluded his choice of BIGSTEVE 1 What is certain, however, is the vehicle sporting BIGSTEV2 Is BIGSTEV1’s smaller, less impressive transport Or belongs to a man better equipped in other respects |

I enjoyed this. It made me wonder if the names we choose for online activities like PIPTALK are another kind of vanity plate. |

Your unique perspective brings a welcome bit of levity to the day, Ed. Good to run into ya here... |

LOL....Wranx, it's good to read you again. I've often had similar wonderings when reading plates and other things. Thanks for the chuckle! *hugs*....jo |

lol, or depending upon their ages, or maybe three generations of the same Steveness? But vanity plates can be hilarious reading material on the freeways. I saw one in CA that read "doofus" You have to laugh at that guy's sense of honesty and humor. His car was funky, rusty, dented in several places. And the license plate holder was crooked and bent. |

I'm sure Steve isn't all that he thinks he is... Vanity plates do nothing for me...I have no message to send. Very clever and amusing Ed. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

So many large SUV's driven in the Cotswolds - all pristeen, virtually all driven by women, who almost fight over how much their other half's can afford to spend on an SUV. Local supermarket builds in extra spaces so they can fit them in, and thanks to these people is isn't rural here unless you count the bus services and one a day I just use a 3Lt V6 myself. Dave |

Smiling at this. I drive a good bit and read, wonder, and smile at the many different voices I see expressed in the plates. I don't think I have seen any dufus plates, but I have seen some humorous ones (and, like someone said earlier, many of those have been placed on some worse-for-the-wear shape cars). Enjoyed your thoughts on this. misce |

"Or belongs to a man better equipped in other respects" Or both, most likely! I love a poet with a sense of the absurd, especially when it's even keener than my own! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
