Often Too Good To Be True False flattery they use as bait Mind games is their pastime Beware of the tempting tongue When they spin you a line While using their false flattery Their make believe will ensue Yet ones with all the sweet talk Are often too good to be true They woo you and pursue you While stroking their own ego Seeking their prey far and wide It will be the same scenario Never swallow their sweet talk Flattery will be riddled in lies You will be emotionally scarred By those thieves in disguise Hope ©2006 Link to the poem with graphic below http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/101/poem_8337741.html |
