When she walked past me with her quick steps So lost in her thoughts, I doubt she ever noticed That the end of her skirt brushed me ever so tenderly And from depths unknown came a sudden breath of Spring Bringing with it memories of my far-away, distant home. As I sat down on the sidewalk, waiting for her to reappear Emotions swaying between hope and despair Strange thoughts swirled and rose in my mind Filling me with dreams of a better day, of wounds healed, of rekindled desires. |
