THE MYTHOLOGY OF MY SURVIVAL the woman that I wintered with broke water in a late spring and the water flooded the land as she gave birth to the animal I would not name and the animal built a boat from the bones of drowned beasts and when the woman drowned the animal made a sail of her skin and left me standing in water up to my chest but the drumming of my heart quickened so that waves married waves until the animal was washed overboard and I swam to the boat that carries me still |

WOW - this is deep, so intelligent and powerful...yes, I get this (at least with my own relatable interpretation)....This is a fine piece of writing. Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |
