on a crowded bus I found myself pressed side to side against Jesus and as I stared into the scar of his smile his blood clotted into the weave of my shirt so that when we parted at my stop I heard the whispering rip of old velcro http://www.anthonyarmstrong.zoomshare.com |

loved this, and also your website, especially the poem entitled, "The Valentine I Never Gave You", which to me is a great significance of understanding someone else, not to mention, a beautiful gift to someone... |

Wow - the vivid pictures of life you paint are just so damn powerful....You write of dark & religious themes with such wisdom and raw expression - I especially loved the ending of this poem - what a visual!, powerful effect! Is this a recent poem (from 2006?)? 'Cause I'm printing it out to add to my book Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

A great metaphor...again such a real thing juxtaposed beside a spirit thing. Love the contrast. |
