A Saint ... I Ain't ~*Marge Tindal*~ I know myself, a Saint I ain't, with patience I'm not always blessed but throw in sheer determination and there you'll find me at my best~ Sat the watch for nights, with camera in hand waiting for the flit-of-winged rapture of a tiny Ruby-Throated Hummingbird to come within my lens-capture~ A evening trek she did make at the moment of seven twenty-three took nectared sips from Burrow's Tail plant but she was quicker than me~ I 'gosh-darned', I pouted and not a Saint's words I often spouted But ... last night I got my 'ducks' in a row now she's Sony digitalized, don't cha' know~ Thinking that you might too quickly agree "A Saint she ain't", but ... hey now ... just because How's about credit where credit's due ? (and maybe even a little applause ?) ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

This is a beautiful picture (and poem) and is well worth the effort that you put into it, Marge! ~sky I hope someday you get the chance to live like you were dying.... ~Tim McGraw |

Indeed most worthy of applause Marge! You have a great eye and an excellent camera! These little fellas sure can be fast. They also happen to be my favourite bird.. ever since I had one land on my finger a few years back. (Honest Injun) Huggin' ya for this keeper! |

Oh Marge, these are my most favorite little birds. I could sit and watch them for hours, if only one would come to visit me. Great job! |

Much admiration and noiseless (don't want to scare the ruby-throated hummingbird away!) applause! - Owl |

Dear Marge: What a wonderful picture! You do have the patience of a saint!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Your humming birds are all different than ours, I suspect. we have many of them around right now and love seeing them. That plant is spectacular too! Love Betty Lou |
