I SEE FISH WEEPING I see fish weeping I hear trees sighing flowers are desperate- ly beautiful disarmed animals slip between the bars of cages as large as cities and glimpse dreams fueled by decay and beneath a sky expecting brownouts, overweight oceans crawl toward obesity. I used to drink beer; now I drink whiskey. |

The imagery and strength of expression in this is fabulous....the tone is a mixture of beauty/hope and a world of despair. I could quote my favourite lines/stanzas, but then I'd probably have to quote almost the entire poem, and that's a sign of an amazing poem. Bar none, this is one of your best Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

Love the irony...seeing fish weep. Strong conclusions of depth! Thanks for sharing. Take care. Liz...Carpe Diem |
