How quiescent are all feelings here, In the muted void of evening's clear; The brain unbound to memory’s care Rots in silence the heart’s despair. Unperplexed, in Confluent peace Mind shall fade and its dimensions cease; Reborn, the Ineffable Sense Of Strange unplundered innocence. Divested of its Karmic weight, In peace submerged, devoid of fate, May the soul resurge, its height proclaimed, Unmoored to fear, to itself ordained. May Fugal Empathy rise to ponder Pantheistic in the World's Wonder, And comprehend the Foreign Sense in all Profound, Where the Twilight Soul may itself expound. When the Impalpable perpends our senses then, And time reaps Granite in the hearts of men, Oh, how death shall die and spirit reign Destroyed on earth yet home again; Unperplexed before the Sybil's Shrine Of echoless silence and resoundless time. Then rise all thought and urge your rays Alert the spirit to compel its ways, Until that Self, wreathed in fire like a Comet sent, Wanders shadowless, an Omen in the Firmament. |
