Hospital air without any cares bounces up/down, forward and back, off walls to floor of no pleasantries until into love’s first birthing place it nestles quite comfortably. There’s a forcing on me to endure this pure yet devoid of passion supposedly uplifting air while willing the sun, the rivers, the trees, to heal and appease a body confined. Sometimes a smile makes it worthwhile but nothing can silence hasty footsteps dishing up plates of humiliation and injecting demeaning looks of “so, you don’t like it - so what!” And there to stay would be a nightmare of never ending prick/probe/prods ill directed in their quest to reach the heart of the matter. Keep me away; mind listen today to the voice of my destiny that wills and decrees a desertion before the greed of hospital days lays claim to my last living breath! Helen / 31 August 2006 (All is well – just can’t get “hospital” out of my head) |

Hi, Interloper and LeeJ - just one of those necessary evils, I guess. Thanks for the read. |
