Love Abounds Quiet nights holding treasures close to my heart. My face reflects the peace I feel ~ a peace that fills me. Excess baggage gets cast aside. As my load lightens, I see the beauty of what I have kept. Friends surround me. The warmth of their love enfolds me. History connecting those separated by vast distances. Memories of a dance in a darkened room. Arms holding me as we step softly into the shadows. Laughter echoes in the corners of the rafters. Smiling, I recall the play spinning with glorious abandon, dizzy with freedom. Those days are not gone. They are changed. Once again, life has made its marks in an insular world. We wear the battle scars of pain and disillusionment. Yet, look! We still have a sparkle and a deep joy. Memories again become reality as we forge new friends and hold those we have loved for so long close. Once again, a dance is danced and love abounds. aziza |
