5656 Tantalizing Tania 29 August 2006 Your beauty was that arc the bright light upon an horizon Just to look into your eyes and absorb every moment For a heart to care in kindness of share Where there was more behind your smile, than dreams Somewhere out there, was the light the lamp behind your wondrous grin That heart in rhythm it did beat somewhere there you were knowing, wondering, would it be true But do you give up no, you press forward Forward to the day you’ll understand the day your embrace was never to let go “For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.” 2 Samuel 22: 29 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
