Let Your Whispers Pass Me By

I suppose you could call me stupid
if you must,
Scatter your thoughts into a big ball of dust
when you talk of me the whispers begin
"Oh look at her isnt she getting thin"
its words like those, that make me this way
my skys not blue its a gossip ridden grey
you wonder why i eat less and less
and why oh why im in such a mess
just think of me....
when your eating your roast dinner
wasting away and getting thinner and thinner
then when you past me by,
in the doorway of the shop
cling cling cling let the pennys drop,
then i'll be hearing "oh look at that!"
"Isnt the homeless girl getting terribly fat!

Don't ever let gossip get under your skin!  You are the master of your own ship - whatever you do or do not do is your own responsibility and there's no getting away from it.  On the side though perhaps first make sure that your decisions are sound and then just ... go for it!  Eating or not eating both have consequences but from gossip absolutely nothing unless you allow it.  So says Helen from her homemade soapbox!   Take care!
