Once again
The road before me lies divided
One path festooned
In diffused light
An effusion of brilliance
Cascading like diamonds
Through lace trimmed branches
While the other path
Is laden heavily
With the mist shrouded shadows
Of uncertainty
And questionable outcome
So down which path
Do I begin by placing my foot?
The obvious
Is the inconspicuous
For while the sunlight offers hope
It also offers thoughts
of the mundane
There is no challenge
Hidden on the clarion path
It is the surreptitious trail
That calls to me
For somewhere among
The opaque foliage
Lies the test of my spirit
And with eyes cast forward
Heart braced
Footstep light
I begin my journey
Into the whatever.

Sandra~

'somewhere among
The opaque foliage
Lies the test of my spirit'

Your spirit soars~

This is just 'one' of the reasons I so enjoy reading you~

"With the mist shrouded shadows
Of uncertainty"

I knew you
wouldn't take the other
path...

well done

Beautiful write!

Never take the easy option, eh? A strong and beautifully-worded write, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Cheers,

If the body is young and fiesty the more adventurous road may be your path, but if the body is weary all torn filled with pain.
The sunlit road is the road to take for peace is at the end.

The journey is one that we all must walk sometimes.  You step oh so lightly sweetie, down your path, and your heart does shine.

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna
