If my heart could cry
It would cry tears forever
tears of loss
crying to ease the pain
crying to remember the life that was lost
I can't believe what was done
even after all these years
I'm trapped on a loop
forever repeating my pain
as I look into the eyes of my kids
knowing there should be one more
and it burns a hole in my heart
where the tears my eyes never shed
evaporate
forever will my heart cry
yet no tears will show
as there is no chance for them to escape

Welcome to PiP~

Your penning bleeds the harsh pain of loss~

Find comfort in sharing, for it can be a balm for the heart~

Marge, Thanks, but I've been here longer than anyone would have guessed.  I remember you commenting to several posts of mine throughout the years.  Your words were always welcome and concerned.  Thank you for being you.

James

This vacancy swells with emotion, James.
I know the feeling, the need for tears,
the inability to shed them.

James,
Wecome! I too know the loss of a child and found these blue walls my primary source of grief release. I'm glad you found your way here. I'm terribly sorry about your loss and hope to understand more as you continue to write. I pray you find strength, courage and hope. God bless.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
