Embraced by a silence now, old dreams of heated charms span distant miles remembering wings within your arms. You left laughter on my page, but something in you drew my life into your circle and wrote the heart of you. I wish on a well of vision, touch the fire of your mind, burn upon my memory those moments that were mine. Pools deepen 'neath my breast, drown old paths of strife, for the woman I've become is bound within this life. You echo me a legacy... I'll take it to my grave, the heart I wrap around you for the love you gave. [This message has been edited by Klassy Lassy (08-25-2006 04:27 PM).] |

You are one classy lassie! ~ and you sure know how to write poetry! Keeping the warm memories in our heart, keeps our heart beating longer and more rhythmically. Loving hug, EA |

KlassyLassy~ 'You left laughter on my page, but something in you drew my life into your circle and wrote the heart of you.' Klassy Lassy, I love poetry that makes me want to get involved. You echo me a legacy... I'll take it to my grave, the heart I wrap around you for the love you gave. As another commented 'echo me a legacy' opens your imagination to interpretation which is what all good poetry should do. Being a newbie to the site I am not sure at what level my own views or feelings are welcome, and I cannot find the 'critic welcome' flag I have read about. As I said, I love this piece and your last stanza is interpreted by my mind as: You echo me a legacy... I'll carry to my grave, your heart still wrapped inside me beats with the love you gave. It is nice to find a Rhyming Poet with a style that allows one to 'melt into the moment' and hopefully I will get a chance to see more of your work. Have Fun, Ivor |
