Inspired And Truly Touched

I remember the loving words
Believing them all to be true
I had never written before
Until I became close to you

I kept those loving reminders
The years you kept in touch
I read letters over and over
Since I missed you so much

I hope my words can express
How much you meant to me
Fondly I made recollections
Which I will cherish endlessly

I thought back on those years
How close we both became
Inspired and truly touched
My heart still holds your name

your name fills my heart
reminders of welcome past
lovely memories

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
