you're spinning in circles, doll why can't you see that the swirls of color your eyes keep catching are nothing more than your head playing tricks on you and forgetting to focus in time to paint the real picture of all that's before you. your white slivver hands keep clinking on glass as your sight locks with the mirror in front of you and those glasses keep cracking as the mirrors shatter and all's you can do is take handfulls of hair and curl to your knees. those lips are red but not from life you can't keep biting the blood out of you, darling i know those words in your head just never sit still despite the retreat to your dimmed blurry bed that you're welcoming with arms gripped tight to your chest. all those screams, all those echoes they're nothing but silence and i know it comes loudly but sing a soft song and it might go away. the clock to your left never symbolized time and the sun through the shades never meant day but the black that you see despite date or hour is all that you want and all you can hold in your hand, baby, isnt it? spin like the second hand that's ticking to a crash you'll wind up in a bed you never wanted to be in being shined on by lights more harsh than the ones you're escaping through locked doors. |

Your poem is rife with quotable and memorable lines! i.e. "spin like the second hand that's ticking to a crash" I feel like giving you a big hug and saying "Everything is going to be all right." EA |
