there on the under side
of a kip bow's river
the benders knead the waters
with mallet finger drumming

unraveling the lady's proper tea
from it's cocoon of refuge
gifting her exposure to dreams
where she is sinfully indelicate

they are the vines at her ankles
the sticky shoe mud she swims
they are snug breath gasping
that press her cries to pillows

and pat their hands on fever'd brow
to soothduce her lingering
she speaks the conjure tongue then
her mind drinks from the liquor man

of sudden she gates the benders brim
______________

daark

scribblenote: under the river of dreams, the dark ones that unravel you and make you run, but make you miss them when you awake..

Softly smiling at this one Daark, and must admit I love the scribblenote on this one as much as the poem itself.  Nicely penned, oh Dark one..

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Yes, dark dreams...and more than bedsheets
tangle ankles in the shadows of sleep

this hinges nicely with the dreamscape of
hours ago...and perhaps a river ran
through that one, as well.

Always, an enjoyable read, poet.

No vines at the ankles to drown me, my dark friend, but I do breathe the whispers, dream of lace and sunshine on occasion.

And your poems always whisper...
