5629 Silver Enlightenment 21 August 2006 Time has passed, since your face has shined upon the screen The brightness of your eyes those colours combined and their sheen Time being a clock, a tick tock Just to look into your heart to capture the wisdom inside To look at your happiness and understanding away from that darkness, as hidden away to preside Time is your age, your star upon the sky your heart beating in a rhythm Every sense of salvation given Time was your faith, your dealings of God another moment to pause and feel the spirit, the element of your light That Easter morning of sacrifice nails upon fingers, colours on toes A web of enchantment, this beauty He gave Christ your Saviour, Christ, your man in need Time enlightened, by your face upon the silver screen “If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.” Song of Solomon 8: 9 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
