Oh beauty of the darkened sleepless night Who lays before me, save thy rested soul Thee art my rose that gave the gallant fight And from thy lips my thirst again is whole. Upon me falls the rain of mercy's shawl Implore thy will, conspired night winds call Immerse me in thy deep and thickened dreams From honey does the vine become most sweet That suckling lips might bring forth dreams anew As slumber goads the stallion's hooves most fleet Into the breach of midnight's rendezvous. Then taste to drink the sweet of midnight hour Upon my tongue your vibrant essence shower For night, requites the thirst of favored streams And when the wed of one is then at peace Within the pool where wanted thoughts decry, Entwined our hands shall clasp and not release As dreams return and carpets flit and fly. And night as dreams extend the furthest sighs Upon the pale of moonlight kissed my eyes Then this, thy very breath consumes the beams For all we are becomes the drink of dreams |

T.D. and Magnus, Wonderful, wonderful! Such beautiful wording and imagery! The excellence of the last line suits it well. Much enjoyed! Hope to see more of your duets. miscellanea |

This poem deserves a hearty applause to both of you. Excellent flow with dreamy imagery and also what I would interpret as being a most delightful collaboration of poetic talent. Great job. -Bob |
