My Sweet Lover I am a man of faith When it is needed, An evil man most other times; My physical body is a kin to sin, Embracing it as a lover-- But when I am betrayed, I run back home to my religion, Asking for forgiveness; A hypocrite down to my heart With a smile upon my face And betrayal upon my brow--- My soul is not fooled Weeping and pitying me As I return again and again To kiss the sweet lips of my future brideā¦ A condemning matrimony I am tearfully pained to abide. Riveting, the honesty of this work. Spoken clearly through the simple and forward heart. Exactly what scriptures write to us of...the words to embrace us in need, and help us see the changes we need to make to be happier. Well done. |

Superbly thought out and written! I really am taken by your analogy, and can identify with it. Outstanding! |

I hear exactly what you're saying here. And you say it well, with a novel use of language that I admire. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
