5619 Age All Told 18 August 2006 Only time can tell but does time speak An empty shadow that love in happiness to seek For without him or her was there time to live or die A time to be born, a time to shed a tear this time of outrage and mistaken entity to cry What happened to the moment or was that moment but a dream A nightmare of forgiving those words: “Why, why?” to scream A deaf soul, an empty heart or was a vessel just a journey to hold Blood and bones, canvas as skin death and dieing, that age of age all told “For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” Genesis 21: 2 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
