5617 A Wish of Surety 17 August 2006 Just to want her love but unable to give such joy For where was reality that division divided by two Empty and unfulfilled sold out and tried to begin Of that day, a wire connected but unable to be joined to relate A love entangled one of a sight to ponder To feel the pain in surrender a mark placed before the road This milestone to reach if only possible was true For she does know that unknown phrase of “I sure wish I could love you” © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

The end point is but the beginning, while separation brings about such questions in relation to the quest Thank you for your kind words a poet who cares |
